The Williamsburg Volleyball Club U18 National team lost to Capital Volleyball Club of Wisconsin 25-20, 26-24 during Friday's championship match of the 41st annual AAU National Volleyball championships held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex held in Orlando.
Ranked eighth in a field of 87 teams,Williamsburg posted victories over three top 5 teams to reach the finals. Team members include: Alexis Austin (7), Kelly Esch (13), Alex Koon (12), Logan Lancaster (11) Kiersten Langerud (8), Samantha Sallade (9), Megan Smth (25), Monique St. Cyr (4) and Hannah Williams. The team was coached by Gail Clinch and Daniel Dedrick.Esch, Koon and St Cyr were all named to the U18 All-Star tournament Club team.
