Kelly Salamy wins girls 12-13 division at 8th annual VSGA Youth Championships



RICHMOND – Williamsburg’s Kelly Salamy shot a 3-under-par 63 on We
dnesday to win the age 12-13 division during the final round of the Virginia State Golf Association Youth Championships held at The First Tee of Chesterfield in Richmond.
                                               
The 12-year-old native from greater Williamsburg entered the final round tied for first place along with Herndon’s Danielle Suh. Salamy (140) carded a 63 on Wednesday to win the division by seven strokes over Suh (147). Salamy finished the tournament at 8-over-par.

“I made a lot of long putts for par,” Salamy said. “I just felt a whole lot better today, than I did yesterday.”
