Ramos lifts Williamsburg Revolution 11U to state tournament win

Andrew Ramos hit a grand slam for 11U team.
ARLINGTON – Williamsburg Revolution 11U all-stars scored five runs in the first inning and held on for a 9-8 victory over Peachtree during Thursday’s first round game in the Babe Ruth League of Virginia state tournament held at Barcroft Park.

Andrew Ramos belted a grand slam in the top of the first inning to spark the opening inning outburst. He also earned the save with three strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings of relief.

Kolby Sheldon drew two walks and three other players earned singles for the Revolution. Travoz Harrold allowed four runs and struck out four in 3 1/3 innings to pick up the win.

Williamsburg will play Friday at 5 p.m. in the winner’s bracket.

10U – The Williamsburg Revolution posted a 4-3 victory over Peachtree Thursday afternoon at Stuart Fields near Warrenton.
 
Luke Hanson was phenomenal on the hill to earn the victory.

Williamsburg will face NE Augusta Friday at 3 p.m. in the winner’s bracket.

9U -- The Babe Ruth League of Virginia 9U state tournament was washed out on Thursday at Warhill District Park in Williamsburg.

The Williamsburg Revolution will play Herndon at 1 p.m. on Friday.
