Williamsburg Revolution sends four teams to Babe Ruth Baseball state tournament

JAMES CITY – Four all-star teams from greater Williamsburg will compete in this week’s Babe Ruth Baseball state tournament.
            
The Williamsburg Revolution, the all-star teams for the Williamsburg Youth League, will compete in the Cal Ripken 9U, 10U, 11U and 12U state tournaments. Warhill District Park will host this year’s 9U tournament.

The Revolution defeated New Kent two weeks ago to earn a berth in the state tournament. Kameron Eggleston leads the team with a .400 average with 15 runs scored and 14 RBI. Ashton Ware is hitting .290 with 14 RBI and 14 runs.

Vincent Smith and Braden Dudeck are the top table-setters for Williamsburg, combining for 39 runs scored this league season. Griffin Wahl is hitting .340 with 14 RBI and 13 runs scored.

Dudeck had three wins this regular season for the Revolution. Ryan Terrell, Wahl and Ware also have earned victories. Other team members include Luca Albert, Andy Homer, Max Bierbrauer, Jacy Ramos, Noah Katz, Keith Hudk, Colby Motley, Steve Slayton and Tyler Richardson. The team is coached by George and Alex Amory.
 
Williamsburg will open the tournament Thursday against Arlington at 1 p.m. Here’s a link to the entire bracket. The winner will earn a berth in the Southeastern Regional tournament.

The Revolution 10U team will play their state tournament in Warrenton. Williamsburg will face Peachtree at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at Stuart Field in their opener. Here’s a link to the entire bracket. The winner of the state tournament advances to the Cal Ripken Baseball World Series. The runner-up will earn a berth in the Southeastern Regional tournament

Williamsburg’s 11U team will travel to Arlington for their state tournament. They will take on Peachtree at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at Barcroft Park in their first round game. Here’s a link to the entire bracket.

The Revolution 12U team will also play in Charlottsville. The Williamsburg team will take on Arlington at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at The Fields at Hollymead. Here’s a link to the entire bracket.
